The Hounds finished up their season on the 5th of November, with a tough loss to Montgomery 48-3. The Hounds ended up concluding the season at a promising 3-6 record, with wins over Fort Bragg, Willits and Kennedy. This season did seem to bring some light onto the football program though, as they took home a victory for the first time since 2017. There were lots of ups and downs this season and with the parents and students back in attendance, the games were played with more passion and energy than the previous year. I had asked a few of the seniors on the football team what they enjoyed the most about this season. Here is what a few of them had to say.

Jesus (Chuy) Anguiano: “What I liked most about football was the Friday night lights and seeing people at rec park in the stands and being on the field playing as a high school player. Good times that will be missed and never played again.”

Matthew Teldeschi: “Finally winning a football game as well as our student section was always hype which was cool. And made playing in the games 10x more fun.”

Matthew Rowland: “We did very well, however we could have worked much harder.”
