NBA Christmas Day Games

Every year, the NBA year has multiple games on Christmas Day.  These games are always exciting to watch as they are always very good team matchups and most of the time rivalries. This year on Christmas day there are five games that start in the morning and end at night. 

 

The first game on Christmas day starting at 9 a.m. is the New Orleans Pelicans against the Miami Heat.The Miami Heat team just hit off a great season as they made it to the NBA finals and put up a good fight against the LA Lakers. The Miami Heat are very good as they have a solid core. They have veteran players such as Goran Dragic , Jimmy Butler, and a lot of young talent like Bam Adebyao and Tyler Hero.  The New Orleans Pelicans are a very talented team.  But they are a young team.They have players like Zion Williamson the number 1 pick of the 2019 NBA draft, Brandon Ingram who just recently won most improved player of the 2019-2020 season, and Lonzo Ball the former number 2 pick of the 2017 NBA draft. Recently in the offseason, they just added veteran players  including Steven Adams and JJ Redick to their team.  Overall I think that this will be a great game but I am going to predict that the Miami Heat win;  Since they are t more talented and better coached than the other team.

 

The second game of the day is the Golden State Warriors against the Milwaukee Bucks in this game is at 11:30 a.m.(oth very good e).  The Golden State Warriors just came off a rough season because of injury and players leaving right after their five-year streak of making it to the NBA finals and coming out with three finals victories. The Milwaulkee Bucks just came off of a great season as they were the #1 seed in the east and they had the best record in the NBA.  Their star player Giannis Antekumpo won MVP and Defensive player of the year last year.  I think this will be a very good game but I have to give the win to the Milwaulkee Bucks.

 

Game number three for the day is the Boston Celtics vs. the Brooklyn Nets.  The Brooklyn Nets will have an interesting season as they just added Kevin Durant who is teaming up with Kyrie Irving.  They also have a new head coach of Steve Nash.  On the other hand, the celtics are a very solid team.  They have star players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.  I believe that this eastern conference rivalry will be interesting to watch. I think that the Brooklyn Nets will win though in a tight game.

 

The fourth game of the day at 5:00 p.m. is the Dallas Mavericks vs the Los Angeles Lakers.  The Lakers have just come off of a great season as they won the NBA Finals.  With their strong talent they also added two former defensive players of the year. Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Shroder are just what this team needed to create the ultimate super team.  They are facing off against a good young team.  Luka Doncic leads the Mavericks as their star player.    Even with Luka and the Mavericks being a very good team I do not see them beating the Lakers.  Luka just isn't good enough to hang with the best team in the NBA. I believe that the Lakers will win in a blowout by 15 or more points.

 

The Los Angeles Clippers face off against the Denver Nuggets for the final game of the night.  The Clippers just blew a 3-1 lead in the bubble against the nuggets so I believe this will be a very good game.  These teams are both very good and pretty even talent wise. Michael Porter Jr. could even be an all star one day and so could Jamal Murray. This game will be very competitive and exciting but I am going to have to give the win to the home team which is Denver.  Denver might be able to pull off a good win on Christmas day if Jamal Murray keeps playing like he did in the NBA Bubble.
